With summer finally starting to flourish we are going to share some essential gardening tips for your lawn.
Start with the Lawn
When you look outside to your garden the biggest space you will see is your lawn, so making sure it’s looking pristine will set the tone for a new look outdoor space.
We regularly get requests from customers for maintenance jobs such as grass cutting, pruning and weeding so we can always design your new lawn for you!
Here are some design ideas you could use to revamp your lawn –
Checkerboard – The checkerboard lawn smacks of elegance and will instantly draw attention from visitors and be the envy of neighbours.
Soft Waves – There’s no need for standard straight lines with this lawn, which can be created using larger lawnmowers. When we get to the edge of your garden, we make a 180-degree turn and go back, slightly overlapping the last pass for soft waves.
Zig-Zags – To create a zig-zag lawn we start at the edge and make the pattern going in one direction, make a 180 degree turn and follow the pattern going back. The reflection of light helps to highlight the pattern.
Ripples – Reflecting the look of dropping a pebble in a pond with ripples spreading outward, we start at one end making a large curve, turn 180 degrees following the path to the other side.
Once you’ve decided which lawn design is the one for you it’s time to look at the rest of your garden but luckily Abingdon’s also offer a variety of landscaping services such as fencing, decking and pergola installations plus water features such as ponds and waterfalls.
