Getting Together In Your Garden

12 Apr 2021

As lockdowns in the UK begin to ease, we start to spend more time together in our gardens. Why not use this as an opportunity to reinvent your space and include a nice area to entertain your guests.

Entertaining Guests

When it comes to inviting your guests into your garden, you shouldn’t be worried about what your garden looks like at all. But if you are starting to find yourself a little reluctant to show off your garden, why not look into upgrading a few things and turning it into a space that you can be proud of.
The kind of space you need to entertain your guests can depend on the type of guests that you have. For example, if you are inviting an abundance of children to fill your garden with laughter, screaming and excitement, you might want to increase your grassed areas, whereas if you intend on having BBQs or Al Fresco Dining, a vast patio might be the right direction for you.

Patios For BBQs

When BBQ weather rolls around we all love getting out into the garden and soaking up the sun. But how suitable is your current patio for those who are joining you?
From a small patio in the sun-soaked corner of the garden to a larger patio suitable for entertaining the whole family, the choice is yours.
When you consider a new patio, consider how the rest of the garden around it looks. If you have a country-style garden, perhaps some crazy paving with reclaimed bricks? Or shaped stones and gravel to give you a different type of seating area? If your garden is very minimalist, why not go for a patterned patio to add a feature to your garden.
Whichever look you go for, our team will have it ready for you to start the BBQ season in style.

Green Green Grass

When it comes to your lawn, you need to consider how you will be using the space. There are a number of types of grass that will give you a thicker and greener appearance but may not withstand the test of children or dogs. If you are creating your lawn for a space to play, perhaps the occasional bouncy castle, or even a paddling pool in summer, investing in a hardy lawn is definitely worthwhile.
Heavy footfall on your lawn can damage many types of grass, so ensuring that you have the best one from the start means that you will need less patch repair year on year.
If you are thinking about having a climbing frame for your children, consider the option of play grade bark instead of a lawn, as this will last longer and require less upkeep.

Added Design Features

There are a number of features that we can add to your garden to give your guests something to talk about.
A feature to make your friends and family jealous is a stunning water feature. Whether you are having one built into your garden, or having one fitted that you have store-bought, this is certainly an eye-catcher!
You might even want to consider a pergola. You can choose to have this over a smaller area of the patio, or over the whole area for a larger feature. This makes a great place to trail across lights, allowing you to make the most of the space even when the sun goes down.
BBQs come in all shapes and sizes, if you are quite the avid BBQer, when not have a space designed that is dedicated to your BBQ. This means that you will have enough space for not only your BBQ but all of your tools, without the worry of anything being knocked or anyone getting burnt.
