We were recently chosen to re-design the rear garden of a property in Bicester, not far from Radley, following a strict brief from the customer.
Their garden lacked personality and didn’t really have specific look so our team here at Abingdon’s worked with the customer on a design that would inject life into their outdoor space and impress their friends and visitors alike.
Our first task was landscaping the garden, whilst maintaining as much of the existing lawn as possible. Next, we added elegant patio paving from the side door of the house which followed round to the rear of the building.
This was achieved using Sandstone paving with a sweeping cut curve through the whole length of the garden and tumbled sandstone blocks laid to the leading edge.
Adding diversity to the design we used curved Oak sleeper raised borders to the back of the garden ready for a host of different and vibrant plants.
Raised flower beds allow the roots of your plants and flowers to go deeper into the soil and are also very handy for people who have mobility issues.
To complete the new look a small seating area was installed in the middle of the garden, giving the customer a new place to eat and socialise during the summer.
