There were key topical themes on display at this year’s event. Bringing elements of the natural world into our gardens is encouraged even more in these environmentally conscious times. The RHS Garden for Wildlife showcased how domestic gardens can host and encourage a wider range of invertebrates, birds, reptiles, amphibians and small animals. Wildlife friendly planting and the addition of a gravelled pond with gently sloping edges to allow small mammals like hedgehogs an escape route should they drop in accidentally.
